Registration for Spring 2023 is open. Games begin on September 10, 2022.

Boys Program

Session Details:

• The Boys U8 division (or “under 8” division) is for 7-8-year-old boys born in 2015.
• GAME TIMES:
  • Boys (U8): 12:15 to 1:15 PM
• FIELD VENUE:
  • Denton Avenue Elementary School
    1050 Denton Avenue, New Hyde Park, NY.
• GAMEPLAY FORMAT:
  • Saturday gameplay will be 4 v 4 formats with no goalies per the new USSF player development guidelines.
  • Our Intramural play utilizes an academy-style format (forming different teams each week, ensuring parity). Play starts with a mini-training session for 15-20 minutes, followed by 40-45 minutes of team play, all facilitated by a SUSA coach. Game play is assisted by volunteer Intramural parent coaches.
• TRAINING:
  • All intramural players are encouraged to supplement their intramural experience by registering for professional SUSA soccer training on Mondays and/or Wednesdays.
  • Volunteer Intramural parent coaches will attempt to offer one team practice per week 
• DEVELOPMENTAL SOCCER:
  • NHP intramural U8 players may also register for a Developmental Soccer Team (travel soccer).
  • Developmental teams are assigned based on ability and registered in an appropriate division in LIJSL CTC PDI (Long Island Junior Club Development).
  • Developmental games will be in addition to the intramural game on Saturday mornings. Most games are played on Saturday afternoons or on Sundays. 
  • Developmental players cannot participate in developmental games if they miss the weekend’s Intramural game.

Girls Program

Session Details:

  • Girls (U8): 11:10 to 12:10 PM
• FIELD VENUE:
  • Denton Avenue Elementary School

Uniform Information

Registration DOES NOT include a uniform. Your child’s uniform must be purchased at Sport Loft, 1001 Jericho Turnpike, New Hyde Park, NY. 516-437-6403. Inform Sport Loft that you have registered with the New Hyde Park Wildcats Intramural Program. U8 – U10 requires a size 4 soccer ball. Additionally, all players must wear shin guards under soccer socks and soccer cleats.

NOTE: If your son or daughter played U6 or U7 Soccer, and his/her uniform still fits, it may be used throughout Intramurals.

Registration Fees / Information

• Late registration cannot guarantee placement on a team if the session has filled to capacity.
• Registration will CLOSE on April 16, 2023. No exceptions will be made for existing members of the club (who will have receive plenty of reminders!)
• All Registration fees are NON-REFUNDABLE.
• Any coach or teammate requests should be made in the Comment section of the registration.
• Late Fees will not be waived except for first-time registrants in the club.
• New registrants may be asked to provide proof of age.
