U6 Players born between January 1 – December 31, 2017

Registration for Spring 2023 is open. Games begin on April 1, 2023.

Session Details:

The U6 division (or “under 6” division) is for 5 and 6 year old boys and girls born in 2016.

• GAME TIMES:
  • Girls (U6) – 11:10 to 12:10 PM
  • Boys (U6) – 12:15 to 1:15 PM
• FIELD VENUE:
  •  Denton Avenue School 1050 Denton Avenue, New Hyde Park, NY. 
• GAMEPLAY FORMAT:
  • The game format is 4 v 4 with no goalies per the new USSF player development guidelines.
  • Our Intramural play utilizes an academy-style format (forming different teams each week, ensuring parity). Play starts with a mini-training session for 15-20 minutes, followed by 40-45 minutes of team play, all facilitated by a SUSA coach. Game play is assisted by volunteer Intramural parent coaches.
  • Our Intramural enrollment allows for 6-10 teams of 7-10 players each. 
• TRAINING:
  • All intramural players are encouraged to supplement their intramural experience by registering for SUSA soccer training on Tuesdays and/or Thursdays.
  • Volunteer Intramural parent coaches may organize one team practice per week.

Uniform Information:

Registration DOES NOT include a uniform. Your child’s uniform must be purchased at Sport Loft, 1001 Jericho Turnpike, New Hyde Park, NY. 516-437-6403. Inform Sport Loft that you have registered with the New Hyde Park Wildcats Intramural Program. A size 3 soccer ball, shin guards, and cleats are required.

Please Note: The U6 uniform is the same as the Micro uniform, but the socks are different. Please purchase the appropriate socks from Sport Loft (see above).

Registration Fees / Information

• Registration will CLOSE on April 16, 2023. No exceptions will be made for existing members of the club (who will have receive plenty of reminders!)
• Late registration cannot guarantee placement on a team if the session has filled to capacity.
• Any coach or teammate requests should be made in the Comment section of the registration.
• All Registration fees are NON-REFUNDABLE.
• Late Fees will not be waived except for first-time registrants in the club.
• New registrants may be asked to provide proof of age.
